Eyes are replicas of the actual silver coins recovered from the 1629 Dutch shipwreck, Batavia (Abrolhos Islands, Western Australia).  Batavia is famous for its brutal massacre and other cruel atrocities. Highly recommend reading 'Batavia' by Peter FitzSimons, it will blow your mind.
